Anti-Frizz Hair Products to keep your mane sane

The weather is so fickle, isn't it? Don't let its weary ways mess with your hair. I personally know the struggle of wavy hair. Back at MAC: Selena Quintanilla

It's Here!

In just minutes, Selena fans everywhere will be logging onto the worldwide web to purchase the beloved relaunch of #MACSelena inspired collection.

The original launch was released on October 6, 2016 selling out almost immediately on the cosmetic brand's website. In store purchases were just as swift, with sets and individual pieces selling out in under three hours, making this the most in-demand-purchase of the year for MAC.

The Selena Quintanilla collection is said to mimic pieces found in Selena's personal makeup bag, an insight that us #makeup girls truly appreciate, because without the Quintanilla family consent, this collaboration wouldn't have been possible.

Now, are you ready to shop? The MAC Selena products will be available int he Unites States and Canada, first on the cosmetic brand's website starting Wednesday, December 28 and in stores on Thursday, December 29. All items from the original launch will be available except for the Liquid Eye Liner in Boot Black.

I was so excited to receive my package of Earth Science Naturals! The new ceramide shampoo, now available, was in my hands, and ready to be put to good use! 

I requested the voluminous and fragrance free duos and although had no expectations of the outcome of each set, was pleasantly surprised. 

The Ceramide Complex is plant based and in addition to its incredible scent, the infusion of healthy ingredients made my hair soft and smooth, and let me just share, my colleagues took notice. Bonus tip: I used the conditioner as a shaving cream for my legs and was left with nourished skin that was stub-free and silky to the touch.

Michael Kors Beauty Loot

New York fashion week may have come to an end, but the residual impression of iconic designers lingers on, and I was lucky enough to snag a few pieces from the Michael Kors beauty line. 

Feast your eyes on these beauties!  

First on the list, matte bronzers in Beam, Glow and Flush, which range from a soft hue for pale skin, to a deeper shade mixed with flecks of gold (of course) for ultra glam. 

Each bronzer comes in a large gold palette and retails for $50 each. I know it sounds like a lot, but look at the size of these things: my hand can barely hold it. 

So fabulous! These are everything.

The Bronze Powder Brush has a structured base that's easy to grip and packed bristles that are soft to the touch. 

Now, let's talk perfume. The new Gold line has me swooning. Ranging from 1.0, 1.7 and 3.4 ounces, you have your choice of 24K Brilliant Gold, White Luminous Gold, or Rose Radiant Gold. 

Out of the three, my favorite is the Rose Radiant. Due to its sweeter and lighter notes of florals and light musk combination, I can see myself wearing this scent on glam outings or special date nights. 

If you like a stronger scent of wood notes, mandarins and florals, the 24K Gold is for you. If you're the type of woman that wants to feel like you're swimming in your aroma, the more pungent notes of amber, jasmine and pear in the White Luminous is all you, girl. Work it! 

Whatever you decide, I don't think you'll be disappointed, I certainly wasn't. The packaging is so chic and structured, just like all MK designs.  I'm a big fan of these pieces, and was over the moon with all the GOLD! Then again, I believe everything should be made of gold. What can I say? I have expensive taste.

Makeup Talk: Kandee Johnson Glaminar

Happy Wednesday everyone! As most of you know, I attended the Kandee Johnson 

Glaminar with my beautiful sister, Melissa, this past weekend.

The event was held on Saturday, June 27th from 9am to 8pm 

at the Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. 

The glamorous day was full of beauty tips, tricks, inspirational stories, hardship stories and how to really market yourself in the beauty industry. 

If you don't know who Kandee Johnson is, allow me to introduce her: She's a one-of-a-kind, spiritually embraced, kind-hearted, down-to-earth, mother of four, professional makeup artist and Youtuber. (Below is a recent video of her favorite beauty picks for 2015. Check it out!)

Her "success" story isn't about how she makes millions or drives fancy cars, because she's not that kind of girl. Her true story is about how she treats people, her integrity to stand by her faith, why it's important to value people and yourself, and then of course, she's just a bad-ass makeup artist with incredible techniques. And she shares all of this on her YouTube channel.

We were welcomed right away into the Glaminar by her  "Glambassadors," and handed goodie bags! (Products revealed at the end of this post. Don't peak!)

Finally! The doors open, and every one rushed to the front rows! The AV was playing on repeat, showing Kandee in all her tutorial glory. 

Water, candy and notepads were on every table.

Kandee was just about to enter the room, but first, let us take a selfie.
