Backstreets back, alright! Just kidding, it's just me.

Sorry, I've been a bit MIA, but life has been picking up high speeds and has me exhausted. So in lieu of a long and detailed blog post, I'm going to just briefly catch you up with some fun little facts about the last few weeks. Ready? ...............annnnd, go!

1. Someone rear-ended me in my new car. I will refrain from all the details as it wasn't and hasn't been a very fun experience, but I will leave you with a bit of eye candy, as I have a rental while my car is in the shop.

Bam! What's up, Dodge Challenger. You sexy bitch!

2. This week is Holy Week and today is Good Friday. I'm so excited for what I will be experiencing in this evening's (Friday) mass. For those of you who aren't aware, I am Catholic and I love my faith. I can't say I'm a traditional Catholic, as I am a little more liberal, but none-the-less, to know me is to know that my belief in God is a big part of who I am. If you aren't Catholic, I don't discriminate. I am not judgmental if you are of any other religion, either. All I care about is that you believe in God or something for that matter. Same way as I don't see color. If you're a good person with a solid foundation, that's all that matters to me. :)
Here's an image of yesterday's Holy Thursday service.

3. My whole work department decided we wanted to figure out what each other's spiritual animal is. We let others decide for us and then took a test to see if it aligned. Funny enough most of them did line up correctly.

What's my chosen spiritual animal, you ask? A Lion(ess). I was told that I'm extremely calm until it's necessary to confront. That my confidence is obvious and that I have a quiet elegance and awesome hair. (yes! the hair!).

I gladly accept my chosen spiritual animal. Thanks, team!
disclaimer: My 2nd and 3rd animals were Bear and Owl.

4. My Dog Bella and her sister Lulu were recently groomed after a few months of heavy hair growth. Talk about adorable.

5. Even though I've got work up to my eyeballs and a life full of imperfections, I'm perfectly happy with where I'm at at this time. I will never settle with complacency. I'm a doer; and will always want more, but for right now I can definitely say I appreciate where my journey has led me.

...oh, and just one more thing. appreciate the people in your life. Whether it's only for a day, or if you're lucky, a lifetime, these people will teach you things and offer you tools that are needed for your personal growth. And even if you do not see it right now, keep your heart open and your arms stretched out with your palms up, and, just wait. The universe always provides when the timing is right.

Bella's road to recovery...

Thank you for all the love and healing prayers you sent to me regarding my Bella and her healing. After months of vet visits and no answers on her bum problems, more specifically her anal glands, I did extensive research to find out Bella was in need of one special procedure. This procedure called for local anesthesia while the vet cleaned out her glands with saline solution specific for this ailment, infused the area with antibiotics and prescribed her 1 week supply of oral antibiotics. The 1-hour procedure resulted in a lot of loopiness and a million and one kisses on a little wet nose and a lot of rest for this little pup.

After a few weeks of monitoring her, I am pleased to announce that Bella has healed nicely and has been enjoying many feisty arguments and rascal-like play dates with her younger sister, Lulu.

Need more proof? Let me leave you with a bit of Sunshine, courtesy of Bella.

Warning:  these next few photos are sure to melt your heart.

I love this little girl with everything that I am, and there will never be another person or creature on this earth that could ever take her place. 🐶❤️

Dogs were made to teach us about love, let them.

Love always,
Lisa & Bella <3

Summer Time Fine

Summer Time Fine

Summer Time Fine by ladylisalove featuring black clear glasses

I know it's a bit early to think of Summer, but when you live in California like I do, there's no day too early to prepare for hotter days and bare legs. This Summer Time Fine look is a mix of structured and flouncy pieces to give a laid-back look that is still completely polished  and effortless. Perfect for a summer day look at the office or a brunch date at the local café. I personally have always loved structure in my life, so it's no surprise that I would enjoy the same in my fashion style. (Check out the horizontal stripes to elongate a small torso and the solid lines found in the accessories.).

I love the idea of mixing high/low end price points together, so if you can afford to do so, please do, but don't go over your fashion budget as you can always find similar pieces at a lower cost. Try looking into stores such as Target, H&M and Forever 21 for accessories that range in price from $1.80 to $20. If you're a bag and shoes girl like I am, my suggestion is invest, invest, invest. Save up your moolah, $1 a day in to your mason jar, and when you've reached a special occasion, or just need to reward yourself for a job well done this year, go ahead and get yourself some lovely ASOS sandals, or  a Gerard Darel hobo purse. Trust me, no one will be judging you. They'll just wonder how they can replicate your fabulous look.
